Team Rules

• Teams of 1–3 members

• All team members must be registered

Project Rules

• Hardware, software, mechanical and hybrid projects are all welcome

• Build during the hackathon — no pre-built projects

• Existing libraries, APIs, development boards and components may be used

• AI tools are allowed

• Projects must follow the theme: “Stupid, but Usable”

Venue & Safety

• No fabrication — no machining, drilling, cutting or soldering in LT1

• Fabrication work must be carried out in approved maker spaces (e.g. IMBS) in accordance with their safety rules

• Follow all workshop supervisors’ instructions

• Unsafe projects may be stopped by organisers

Respect Everyone

No projects that target individuals, race, religion, nationality, or protected groups. Punch at problems, not people.
